This meeting further detailed the steps taken to cover a shortfall in state funding for the current school year and a more detailed explanation of spending cuts and revenue assumption in the upcoming election NOTE: The 2010/2011 BOE Budget was passed during the election of April 20th. Moreso, all three incumbent candidates were re-elected to new terms.
This meeting was dominated by discussion on a long running feud involving a dog owner and neighbors that are asking for more protection be provided from their owner. Part 1
This part contains a statement from the Board to address the recent arrest in a computer hacking issue at HMHS. Also in this part the recording was paused while students received commendations as the HCA’s policy to not film minors if it can be avoided. Next the budget discussion starts with 2 competing proposed amendments to the draft passed at the Monday meeting. Lastly the public comment portion begins. Part 2
This part contains the balance of the public comments and at the end the camera was again stopped as the meeting adjourned for 15 minutes to allow the board to negotiate without going to an official executive session. After the break is the discussion on more proposals and the roll-call vote on the final budget that will be presented for voters next month. The meeting concludes with a quick run through the balance of the agenda concerning promotions, vendor payments and other administrative issues.
This meeting saw debate and vote on the new BID budget for the downtown. Additionally there were presentations to honor women that have given significant time to our town in recognition of March and Women’s History Month. Tonight the board voted on a preliminary budget and also further explained some of the proposed cuts. The video is in 2 parts due to the length of the meeting.
