A preliminary budget increase of 1.8% was proposed at this meeting .
The shortest meeting in memory; checks were approved as was a rate hike on water and sewer.
This is the first 2011 meeting from the Board of Education. They also reviewed the 2011-2012 budget, school calendar, and curriculum recommendations for next year.
This meeting further detailed the steps taken to cover a shortfall in state funding for the current school year and a more detailed explanation of spending cuts and revenue assumption in the upcoming election NOTE: The 2010/2011 BOE Budget was passed during the election of April 20th. Moreso, all three incumbent candidates were re-elected to new terms.
